The State of Tennessee, Military Department is requesting your company to bid on installing a new fence and
gates for this location, as per this Scope of Work.

Mandatory Site Visit – All bidders are required to attend the mandatory site visit in person, to submit a bid
response. All bidders must sign in on the sheet provided at the site visit. Details of site visit are shown in the
Terms and Conditions.
All contractors must comply with the requirements in the ECATTS Web Site Use Procedures FY26.
All contractors must comply with the 01.57.19 Environmental Controller document.
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete job as specified below. Bid
Price shall include all materials, equipment, and labor. It’s the responsibility of the Contractor for all
measurements; the State will not pay any additional cost due to error in measurements.
It’s the bidder/contractor responsibility to verify all measurements and any underground utilities before digging
on site. The State will not pay any additional cost due to the bidder’s inaccurate measurements.
Ornamental Security Fence
Approved Model – Ameristar Impasse II – Gauntlet Style or written approved equal, must provide spec sheets at
time of bid if another manufacturer is used.
- Install approximately 336 LF of 7’ tall security.
- Three-rail design
- 2.75” wide Pales
- 11 ga rails
- 12 ga I beam posts.
- Line post to be on 8’ centers, all posts set in concrete, minimum embed 36.”
- Black “Perma-Coat” finish with 15-year warranty
Ornamental Security Gate
Approved Model – Ameristar Passport IS – Gauntlet Style, Transport Traverse 11, or approved equal, must
provide spec sheet at time of bid if another manufacturer is used.
- Installation (2) 22 LF cantilever 7’ tall security gate. Only 1 operator, other is manual.
- Three-rail design
- Black “Perma-Coat” finish with 15-year warranty

- Install approximately 463 LF of 6’ tall with PVC-coated Black finish chain link fence.
- with (3) strands of barbed wire black in color, 12.5-gauge, 4-point barbs, max 5” o.c.
- Install (2) 22 LF cantilever, black in color chain link gates on side parking lot, slide,
- 9-gauge fabric with 2” chain link mesh- PVC-coated Black finish.
- 3" WT/LG40 corner, end and pull posts. PVC-coated Black finish.
- 2" WT/LG40 weight line posts, PVC-coated Black finish.
- 1-5/8" diameter, 20-weight, top rail, PVC-coated Black finish.
- 7-gauge bottom tension wire, PVC-coated Black finish.
- Line post to be on 10’ centers, all posts set in concrete.
- Tie in new fencing to existing chain link fence post using all new mechanica

l ties and new barbed wire as
needed.
- Selvages: Top and Bottom selvage twisted.
Access Controls – Furnish and install.
- It will be compatible with existing AIPHONE system and tie in.
- (1) dual height gooseneck-stand with two access control pads with cameras
- Minimum 18” diameter concrete pad, embedded 24” in the ground, for gooseneck stand.
- Install a (120v or 240v) single phase circuit, from the nearest service panel in the facility to the gate operator
with 1” fiberglass/HDPE or PVC conduit with pull string.
- Install 1” fiberglass/HDPE or PVC conduit for data communication from existing AIPHONE system to the access
control pad/camera and operator with pull string.
- Fully integrate the existing system with new components; test & verify proper operation of controls.
- Install (2) protective 6” steel pipe bollards, concrete filled, painted safety yellow, embedded 3’ in the ground in
minimum 12’diameter hole with concrete. Shall extend 48” above grade and be plumb in all directions.
- Conduits shall be bored under any concrete or asphalt surfaces.
Heavy Duty Gate Operators – Furnish and install.
Approved Model – Hy Security Slide Driver 15 for gates less than 1500lb or approved equal, must provide
spec sheet at time of bid if another manufacturer is used.
- 18” minimum concrete pad thickness, minimum 8” embedded in the ground
- All conduits are set in concrete pad and concealed by the operator to prevent tampering.
- Install a (120v or 240v) single phase circuit, from the nearest service panel in the facility to the gate operator
with 1” fiberglass/HDPE or PVC conduit with pull string.
- Install 1” fiberglass/HDPE or PVC conduit for data communication from existing AIPHONE system to the access
control pad/camera and operator with pull string.
- (1) free egress detector loop, cut in existing asphalt pavement
- (1) reversing detector loop, cut in existing asphalt pavement
- Accessories to be installed.
o Internal solenoid lock kit
o Fire & Emergency Access Lock Box (with manual release) and Click2enter.
Alternatives to Ameristar Impasse II Fence and Gates – if the vendor determines they can supply an alternative
to the Ameristar brand fencing, it is the responsibly of the vendor to provide documentation at time of bid the
options with notes and specs sheets, easily showing the product is superior to Ameristar Impasse II.
